Mode of actionNicosulfuron – absorbed by the leaves and stalks of weeds, inhibits cell division by blocking the enzyme ALS (acetolactate synthetase), which is involved in the synthesis of basic amino acids. Weeds quickly stop growing and competing with the crop, take a reddish shade after a week and gradually die completely (after about three weeks). Mesotrione inhibits the enzyme HPPD (pi-hydroxyphenyl-pyruvate dehydrogenase), which is involved in the conversion of tyrosic acid to plastoquinones. The last are an important elements in the synthesis of carotenoids. These compounds, expand the absorption spectrum of chlorophyll to infrared, thus mesotrione is an inhibitor of photosynthesis. Weeds quickly stop photosynthesis, lose their green color and die. Mesotrione also has a prolonged soil effect. (It is capable of controlling the emergence of several subsequent waves of annual dicotyled weeds in the soil).

Compatibility

Compatible with most pesticides (herbicides, insecticides, fertilizers, growth regulators), but in each case you need to do a compatibility test.

Application features

Duration of protective action: 20-30 days. The product can be used at a temperature of: + 15-25°C. The first visible symptoms of exposure appear after three to five days after treatment (the period depends on the type of weed and weather conditions), discoloration of the leaves occurs, followed by the death of weeds (7-20 days).

The next year after the use of the product is not recommended to grow sugar beets, peas and vegetables.
Soy, sunflower and rape are recommended to be sown after plowing.
Corn, sorghum, wheat, barley – without restrictions.
